Terms and Conditions

Terms for using MAIC.

Last updated: July 2, 2026

Agreement

These Terms govern access to MAIC, an AI-assisted project knowledge workspace for industrial, technical, and laboratory teams. By using MAIC, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

What MAIC provides

MAIC lets users create projects, upload supported files, label documents, index project content, search across project and library records, and ask questions that are answered from retrieved source excerpts. MAIC is not a physics engine, laboratory instrument, professional engineering authority, operational authority, or substitute for expert review.

User responsibilities

  • You must only upload content you are authorized to use, process, and share in MAIC.
  • You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them for operational, technical, safety, production, regulatory, legal, or commercial decisions.
  • You must keep credentials secure and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
  • You may not use MAIC to violate law, infringe rights, bypass access controls, or process prohibited content.

AI outputs

MAIC is designed to answer from retrieved project and library content with citations, but AI systems can still make mistakes, omit context, or cite excerpts that require interpretation. Users must verify answers against original documents, raw data, and qualified human judgment.

Customer content

You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant MAIC the permissions needed to host, index, search, retrieve, process, display, and generate answers from that content for your authorized users and workspace operations.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt MAIC, reverse engineer restricted service components, scrape the service at abusive rates, introduce malware, exfiltrate data, or use another user's account or organization without authorization.

Third-party services

MAIC may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, storage, email, analytics, and AI model processing. Those services may have their own terms and controls. Workspace configuration determines which providers are used.

Availability and changes

MAIC may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves. We aim to keep workflows stable, but preview, beta, and early-access functionality may change without notice.

Disclaimers

MAIC is provided without warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service or outputs will be error-free, uninterrupted, complete, or suitable for a specific regulated or safety-critical purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MAIC and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if a user violates these Terms, creates security risk, or uses MAIC in a way that could harm the service, other users, or third parties.

Contact

For questions about these Terms, contact the MAIC team through your workspace owner or support contact.
